UPDATES! -- Podcast Episode 3 posted! Welcome to the Off-Season! And new gear reviews!

Podcast Updates

Josh and I went straight from the finish line at the Novant Health Charlotte Half-Marathon to the Up Off the Couch studio to record the 3rd episode of our podcast.  Now that Josh is done with his busy, busy race season, he gets to join me in the glorious off-season, where some would argue, I spent much of this year!  Will he finally sleep in?  Will he succeed in getting me to join him at Masters Swim Class at 5:30 am?  Join us for the Up Off the Couch Podcast!

Also, to those of you have listened to episode 2 of the podcast, How Big Is Your "Why"?, I have corrected a problem with the audio in the initial post and you can listen to the improved audio file here or on iTunes.  To those of you who have not listened to my interview with Jim Guimond of Kinetic Heights, prepare to be inspired by Jim's unique approach to training and motivating those like me, who made that initial step up off the couch.  I also highly recommend the book Younger Next Year by Chris Crowley, who analyzes how our biological age can be different from our chronological age.

New Gear Reviews!

I was also busy spending the weekend with my new gear, so stay tuned for my reviews later this week of my new Hoka Clifton 4 running shoes, my foray into electronic shifting with a new SRAM Red eTap groupset and new clipless pedals for my mountain bike, the Crank Brothers Candy 3.
