Put a race up on the calendar

I was on a great roll this summer but September was busy and then in October the wheels came off as Halloween candy invaded the house for a good ten days before Halloween.  And with work getting busier it has gotten harder and harder to keep the wheels on the nutrition plan at the office.   So today I did two things to get back on track: (1) ordered weekday meals from Urban Remedy, and (2) got a race up on the calendar.  

Urban Remedy delivers healthy, plant-based meals and since this time of year I can eat all three meals a day in the office, it seems like a good solution.  I am tired of thinking about food all day at work so this should take away that focus.  

I also realize that I stay focused and motivated better when I have a race to train for.  So I signed up today for a 15k race in February to help raise the focus and commitment.  No goals yet other than some steady weight loss and improved run fitness.
